The Know your suburb... Series by Geoff Gallop is a series of three short history lessons on the suburbs of Victoria Park, East Victoria Park, Carlisle, Lathlain and Burswood.

The Victoria Park Local History Collection was established at the Victoria Park Library to preserve the history of the municipality of Victoria Park and to provide information relevant to the area. It is for reference only, ensuring all information is available at all times. You may photocopy information held in the collection.

What is in the collection ?      Books, newsletters, photographs, newspaper cuttings, maps, oral history interviews, microfiche records of local newspapers and rate books from 1898 to 1946.

Can you help us?      To expand the collection we need copies of your family letters, photographs, documents diaries, cuttings and reminiscences of your life in the municipality of Victoria Park.

Local organisations      Your records, newsletters, photographs and publications for example, are all historically significant. Don’t let them be lost, lodge them with the Local History Collection at the Victoria Park Library.
