Membership is free to all people. There is no charge to  use the library except where noted. Simply come to the library with some form of identification (drivers licence, pension card etc.) which gives your name and current home address.  New members are required to sign the register thereby agreeing to abide by library rules.

A parent or guardian signature is necessary for applicants under 18 years of age. Parents are responsible for supervision of a child's reading material. Temporary membership is available and requires a refundable deposit.  If your card is lost, please notify the library immediately to avoid liability for unauthorised use. A fee will be charged for a replacement card or lost / damaged library stock.

Members can borrow a total of 12 items on each card at any one time.  This may be made up of a combination of

  • books
  • magazines
  • talking books on CD
  • talking books on cassette
  • videos
  • DVD
  • jigsaws
  • games
  • puppet
  • music CDs
  • CDRom
  • items from the Language Resource Centre

Special provision can be made for print disabled members.

The usual loan period is 3 weeks. A second loan period is possible provided the item is not requested by another customer. To renew your items click here.
